“The Pink & Powerful exhibition pays tribute to emblematic figures such as Hilma Af Klint, with her spiritualist abstractionism, and Kiki Smith, who explores the dialogue with nature. The enchanted atmospheres of Leonora Carrington and the visionary work of Katsushika Ōi accompany the pop edge of Pauline Boty and visual poetry…”

Punto sull’Arte gallery in Varese, Italy, presents a “pink” exhibition dedicated to the female world. This pink, far from clichés, is chosen as a symbol of joy, sisterhood, and resilience. In celebration of International Women’s Day, the inauguration takes place on March 8th, to honor the power and creativity of contemporary female artists in this Pink & Powerful exhibition, expressing a strong and nuanced femininity rooted in tradition.
The exhibition will be visible until April 05, 2025.

The rooms of the gallery are set up with unpublished paintings and sculptures of thirteen female artists (Annalù, Valentina Ceci, Ilaria del Monte, Valentina Diena, Claudia Giraudo, Jill Höjeberg, Lene Kilde, Silvia Levenson, Lara Martinato, Sabrina Milazzo, Valeria Vaccaro, Marika Vicari and Alice Zanin), curated by the art curator Alessandra Redaelli and the gallerist Sofia Macchi.
A “pink exhibition” to talk about women. A pink out of clichés but chosen as a symbol of happiness, sisterhood, unity and feminine resilience. That’s how Punto Sull’Arte Gallery celebrates the Women’s Day with the will to highlight, through Alessandra Redaelli’s curatorship, how female artists today can mouthpiece for a feminine delicate yet relentless, woven of all the female artists great tradition.

Among the artists, Valentina Diena presents La Vie en Rose. Overtourism.
There’s much to read behind the pencil strokes - given with the precision of a scalpel - of Valentina Diena. Her work makes you want to reach out and touch to understand if what we are watching is really bidimensional. She chooses iconic subjects (often quoting fashion and art) so that we can read another story underneath. Such as the Eiffel Tower that she is bringing at the exhibition. The souvenir becomes a symbol of the overtourism that is condemning the big capital cities to a slow consumption and pushes us to think about the risk of how the habit of the gaze can trivialize symbolic monuments. Even though the color pink - La vie en rose, the title of the work, is a Chinese boxes of references itself - somehow redeems it through the joy and the optimism.
